Founded in 1958, Ohio Steel Industries began business with one employee operating principally as a structural steel fabricator, in a 25,000 square feet facility in Columbus, Ohio. Our market and delivery area then was the central Ohio area. Our company today operates in multiple facilities and locations of more than 300,000 square feet providing material, products and services throughout the world.

Our Manufacturing Division fabricates a variety of metal products under either the Ohio Steel label or private label basis and provides fabrication services on a contractual basis. Our product lines include lawn and garden riding mower attachments, over the road utility trailers, loading ramps, display merchandising tables and racks and contract manufacturing parts. All items are principally fabricated from sheet and tubular materials then coated on state of the art powder coat lines. Our company has produced merchandise for highly recognized retail mass merchants, fabricated on an OEM basis for name brand lawn and garden manufacturers, and conducted trade with retailers, manufacturers, distributors, and dealers throughout the world. Our Manufacturing Division prides ourselves on our ability to provide full service, quality, one stop steel fabrication including stamping, welding, bending, cutting, forming, powder coating, packaging and shipping under one umbrella.

Our ISO 9001:2015 Registered plastics division manufacturers a wide variety of extruded plastic products and profiles. OSI Plastics has produced plastic products and profiles for widely recognized public utility telecommunications and large publicly traded companies with specialized interests and industries. OSI Plastics has provided plastic extruded products throughout the United States and Europe.

Our Structural Steel Division, the beginnings of our company, fabricates, furnishes, and erects structural steel for buildings and bridges. Our Structural Steel Division takes great pride in producing a quality product in a timely manner at a fair price. Our structural steel facility is certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction and meets the quality certification requirements for Standard for Steel Building Structures, Simply Steel Bridges and Major Steel Bridges. Our 120,000 square foot facility enables us to accommodate projects of any size or configuration and our engineering expertise allows us to create customized products for our customers.
